‘Quickpass really grew a lot last year,’ says Jimmy Hatzel, vice president of revenue at Quickpass. ‘We were new on the scene and have sort of built a good reputation for ourselves in the channel. The piece that we were really missing was our own events. It‘s always been part of our plan to do it and sort of the thing that we were missing last year.’

Quickpass, a fast-growing MSP-centric firm focused on password security and identity verification, has launched a new initiative that consists of small peer-to-peer gatherings and an inaugural trade show this year.

The initiative, called Fantastic Forum, will give MSPs different types of training, “outside of what they’ve had,” according to Nadia Karatsoreos, director of hosted events at Vancouver-based Quickpass.

“We’re in a different world now. Let’s give them something that they can’t get somewhere else,” she told CRN.

Karatsoreos joined the company in November with the purpose of engaging the community through events that they were hosting.

The peer gatherings involve, “a lot of opportunities to network with your peers in a really relaxed atmosphere,” she said.

“There’s no strict vendor booth hours and passports to go around to meet vendors,” she told CRN. “Instead, let’s just get to know each other. Let’s figure out how to work together and let‘s figure out if there’s any good tips or tricks that people are using in the field right now. How do we make each other better and really build that community through these events?”

To start, the gatherings will be lunch-and-learns or a fun activity. In the future, she said they’ll implement educational sessions. Quickpass plans on hosting about 100 peer events in North America this year.

“Quickpass really grew a lot last year,” Jimmy Hatzel, vice president of revenue at Quickpass, told CRN. “We were new on the scene and have sort of built a good reputation for ourselves in the channel. The piece that we were really missing was our own events. It’s always been part of our plan to do it and sort of the thing that we were missing last year.”

After talking to MSPs on the road throughout 2022, Quickpass believed that the time is now to hold these gatherings.

“We think that we can provide something of value, something that our partners can use and get them to meet their peers and all of that outside of a big trade show,” he said.

And when it comes to their own tradeshow, their focus will be on the community.

“A realistic goal is for me is to make it different than other events,” Karatsoreo said. “How do we do that? We bring the community together. We provide a type of education or training that other vendors are just not doing. MSPs are the superheroes, they do so many great things. Let‘s sit down and actually listen to what the MSPs need.”

Quickpass started 2022 with about $1 million in annual recurring revenue and ended the year with about $4 million in ARR. Quickpass has about 1,000 MSP partners and services hundreds of thousands of endpoint, according to Hatzel.

“Regional events like road shows are a great way to get feedback from partners in a more intimate setting,” said Raffi Jamgotchian, CEO at Norwood, N.J.-based MSP Triada Networks. “We appreciate Quickpass coming to us and doing these events locally.”

Along with peer gatherings and a trade show, Quickpass also has a goal to help 10,000 MSPs by 2024.

“A way we can actually track and measure this is the number of people who come to our events over the next two years,” Hatzel said. “It sets our direction really clear on where we‘re going and what we’re working on.”
