Princess Eugenie announces her pregnancy; Here’s what she said

Princess Eugenie, niece of King Charles III and granddaughter of late Queen Elizabeth II, is expecting her second child this summer. The royal baby will stand thirteenth in line to the British throne, Buckingham Palace has confirmed, according to reports.

Eugenie married Jack Brooksbank in 2018 and they have a son named August Philip Hawke Brooksbank, who was born in February 2021. This will be their second child together, and the couple is looking forward to welcoming the new addition to their family.

Princess Eugenie, who is 32-year-old, is the daughter of Prince Andrew and Sarah, Duchess of York.

Princess Eugenie took to her Instagram account to share the news of her pregnancy by posting a photograph of her son August kissing her belly. She wrote “We’re so excited to share that there will be a new addition to our family this summer.” Her mother Sarah, Duchess of York responded with a heart emoji and the words “Granny heaven.” August, who is approaching his second birthday, was born at the prestigious Portland Hospital in London and was seen at the Platinum Jubilee pageant celebrations last year.

In the line of succession, Eugenie-Brooksbank’s new baby will be positioned one place behind their older brother and one place ahead of Prince Edward, who is the King’s youngest sibling.
