Poland shares lower at close of trade; WIG30 down 1.86%



Investing.com – Poland equities were lower at the close on Tuesday, as losses in the , and sectors propelled shares lower.

At the close in Warsaw, the declined 1.86%.

The biggest gainers of the session on the were Enea SA (WA:), which rose 4.43% or 0.49 points to trade at 11.54 at the close. PGE Polska Grupa Energetyczna SA (WA:) added 0.84% or 0.06 points to end at 7.41 and Allegro (WA:) was up 0.05% or 0.02 points to 37.90 in late trade.

Biggest losers included KGHM Polska Miedz SA (WA:), which lost 5.43% or 7.55 points to trade at 131.40 in late trade. Grupa Azoty SA (WA:) declined 3.35% or 0.62 points to end at 17.87 and Jastrzebska Spotka Weglowa SA (WA:) shed 3.18% or 0.84 points to 25.60.

Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 325 to 173 and 114 ended unchanged on the Warsaw Stock Exchange.

In commodities trading, Crude oil for October delivery was down 3.93% or 2.89 to $70.66 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in November fell 4.40% or 3.41 to hit $74.11 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract fell 0.53% or 13.50 to trade at $2,514.10 a troy ounce.

EUR/PLN was up 0.29% to 4.28, while USD/PLN rose 0.59% to 3.88.

The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.17% at 101.79.
