PM Kisan 20th instalment: When will PM Kisan beneficiaries receive the next instalment?


Prime Minister Narendra Modi released the 19th instalment of the PM-KISAN scheme on February 24, 2025, during his visit to Bhagalpur, Bihar. This installment marked another step in the government’s ongoing support for landholding farmers under the Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi (PM-KISAN) scheme.

What is PM-Kisan Yojana?

The PM-KISAN Yojana provides financial support of Rs 6,000 per year to eligible farmer families. The benefit is disbursed in three equal installments of Rs 2,000 every four months. Funds are directly transferred to beneficiaries’ bank accounts to ensure transparency and prompt delivery.

When will PM Kisan beneficiaries receive their 20th instalment?

Since the 19th instalment was released in February, the 20th installment can be expected any time in June. The issuance of the next installment date is not fixed. The government will notify the date.

As per the PM-KISAN scheme, instalments are released every four months—three times a year during April–July, August–November, and December–March. The funds are deposited immediately to the beneficiaries’ bank accounts.

According to the PM Kisan website, “eKYC is MANDATORY for PMKISAN Registered Farmers. OTP Based eKYC is available on PM Kisan Portal or nearest CSC centres may be contacted for Biometric based eKYC.”

How to check your name in the beneficiary list in PM Kisan?

Step 1: Visit PM Kisan official website – https://pmkisan.gov.in/
Step 2: Click on the ‘Beneficiary list’ tab in the right corner of the page
Step 3: Select details from the drop-down such as select state, district, sub-district, block, and village
Step 4: Click on the ‘Get report’ tab
Details of the beneficiary list will be displayed.

PM Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana: Here’s how to update eKYC online

Step 1: Visit official website of PM-Kisan
Step 2: Click on eKYC option available on right side of the page
Step 3: Enter Aadhaar Card number, captcha code and click on search
Step 4: Enter the mobile number linked with the Aadhaar card
Step 5: Click on ‘Get OTP’ and enter the OTP in the specified field

PM Kisan beneficiary rejection reasons
1.Duplicate Beneficiary Name
2.Incomplete KYC
3.Farmers belonging to the exclusion category will be rejected.
4.Wrong IFSC code while filling the application form.
5.Bank accounts are closed or not valid, account transferred, blocked or frozen
6.Beneficiaries ’ Aadhaar card is not linked with the bank account.
7.Mandatory fields value missing
8.Invalid Bank, Post Office Name
9.Beneficiary Account number does not belong to beneficiary code and scheme,
10.Both Account and Aadhar are invalid

Important FAQs on PM Kisan
Will monetary benefit under the scheme be directly credited into beneficiary accounts?
Yes. The financial benefit under the scheme shall be directly credited into bank accounts of beneficiaries.

Is it compulsory for beneficiaries to give their bank account details?
Yes, the beneficiaries are required to provide their bank account details along with their Aadhaar number so as to credit the financial benefit under the scheme directly into their bank accounts. No benefit can be given if bank account details have not been provided.

What will happen if the beneficiary gives incorrect declaration for the implementation of the scheme?
In case of incorrect declaration, the beneficiary shall be liable for recovery of transferred financial benefit and other penal actions as per law.

ls an income tax payee farmer or his / her spouse eligible to get benefit under the scheme?
No. If any member of the family is an income tax payer in the last assessment year, the family is not eligible for benefits under the scheme.
