THERE’S a pizza chain that you may never have heard of that’s better than Domino’s.

Pizza Pilgrims was founded in 2012 by brothers, James and Thom Elliot – and it now has 25 sites across the UK.

The chain started out in a food van in Soho, London, in 2013, after the brothers completed a 30-stop “pilgrimage” across Italy.

It’s known for its authentic Italian dishes at pretty low prices, with a variety of toppings and sides also available.

Pizzerias are now dotted around the UK in big cities like Brighton, London, Nottingham, and Cambridge.

With prices high across the board at the moment, diners will be looking to save money where they can.

Big chains like Domino’s can be pretty expensive, with prices varying by location.

Fans of the chain have compared the two pizza companies before, with Pizza Pilgrims coming out on top.

One posted on social media: “These [Pizza Pilgrims] create their pizzas using only the best ingredients.

“Miles better than your nearest Dominos.”

We had a look through the Pizza Pilgrims website and picked out some items with low prices.

A margherita pizza will set you back just £9.95, according to the most recent menu available.

In comparison, a medium cheese and tomato pizza from Domino’s will cost you £17.99 in London.

A garlic flatbread sharer at Pizza Pilgrims costs £5.50, while a garlic pizza bread at Domino’s, which serves two, costs £5.99.

A garlic and herb dip at the pizza giant costs £1.79 – while Pizza Pilgrims offers the same for £1.50.

Of course, prices may vary from store to store so do shop around for the best deal.

You can browse the Pizza Pilgrims menu online and order your favourites to be collected too.

Diners can head to their local restaurant to eat in, or order food to be delivered on Deliveroo or Just Eat.
