Pensioner shares 'first port of call' which helped save over £150 on her Christmas shop

Lifelong bargain hunter Berni Archer, from Staffordshire, has been able to save £150 and counting on her Christmas shop by purchasing festive food, drink and gifts on the discount shopping website, Approved Food.

Families could save hundreds on their food bill by using an online supermarket dedicated to fighting food waste by selling good quality products, all at massively reduced prices.

Approved Food is an online supermarket striving to fight food waste by selling good quality products past their ‘best before’ date, at reduced prices.

During the current cost of living crisis, families across the UK will be looking for ways to save money and cutting back on food shops is one strategy that could be helpful to many.

By using the website, families can shop for less.

Recalling her experience of shopping with Approved Food, Berni says: “Approved Food is my first port of call when it comes to the big Christmas shop.

“It stocks amazing luxury gifts from big-name toiletries brands such as Elemis, along with a huge range of aftershaves and perfumes which make perfect gifts for all the family.

“I also shop with Approved Food to find food and drink items, from whiskeys and spirits to shortbread and cakes, which can be enjoyed as part of your Christmas celebrations or given as gifts!”

Amid the cost-of-living crisis, research has shown that Britos will be spending on average £280 less than last year, equating to around £13billion less being spent by consumers compared to Christmas 2022.

“I love knowing that I have spent my money wisely and have been telling all my friends and family about Approved Food so they can feel the same way!”

Approved Food stocks family favourites – from Cadbury, Coca-Cola and Haribo to Belvita, Pringles and Tilda – at up to 70 percent off.

Customers can also shop household items and beauty products through the Approved Food website, such as kitchen roll, laundry detergent, pet food, and even high-end cosmetics and toiletries like Olaplex.

Andy Needham, Managing Director of Approved Food, comments: “At Approved Food, our mission has always been to deliver great value for money, and we remain committed to absorbing other costs affected by the crisis like shipping and distribution, so that our customers don’t have to suffer inflated prices when shopping with us throughout the festive season.

“Rest assured, they will always get the absolute best price from us, which will hopefully put minds at ease this Christmas.”
