UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. — Penn State undergraduate student researchers and performers will showcase their work during a multi-day virtual Undergraduate Exhibition for Research, Inquiry and Creative Activity on April 10-12, capped off by an in-person research poster session on April 12.
The Penn State community is invited to view students’ work on the virtual platform Symposium, which will feature traditional research posters, performances and spoken presentations. From 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. on April 12, the public can also view students’ research posters at an in-person session in Alumni Hall at the HUB-Robeson Center, on the University Park campus.
“The Undergraduate Exhibition is an opportunity for our students to showcase their hard work,” said Alan Rieck, associate vice president and associate dean for Undergraduate Education. “For some, this will be a chance to share something they’ve been working toward for years and could be the centerpiece of their academic experience.”
Each exhibition presenter will be judged by volunteer faculty, staff, post-docs and doctoral students. Participants can earn awards in their academic category, as well as awards from University Libraries and Phi Kappa Phi National Honor Society. The Gerard A. Hauser Award is given to the entry judged best overall. Some awards carry a cash prize.
“This year, our in-person exhibition slots filled up quickly, and I’m excited that students are so willing to come together and talk face-to-face with their peers and the Penn State community,” Rieck said.
The Undergraduate Exhibition is coordinated by Penn State Undergraduate Education.
