Pembroke moves Delhi HC to deregister its aircraft

Aircraft lessor Pembroke Aircraft Leasing 11 on Monday moved the Delhi High Court seeking a direction to the Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) to deregister its aircraft, currently on lease with Go First. The HC refused an urgent hearing of the petition.

Senior counsel AM Singhvi had sought an urgent hearing in the matter after the DGCA rejected its application for cancellation of the registration of its Airbus A320NEO aircraft parked at the Delhi International Airport. Terming the DGCA’s May 3 decision as “illegal, manifestly arbitrary and capricious”, the lessor said the aircraft’s “safety is at risk” and the expenses for the parking charges were being borne by it.
