Two men are accused of watching a Palm Beach County couple’s intimate moments after installing a security camera into their home.

According to a lawsuit, the homeowner logged into his system several days after a new installation and was horrified to find data showing that the two technicians had accessed his security camera thousands of times to watch footage of his wife naked/undressing and videos of the couple having sex.

The Palm Beach couple filed a complaint against Ask the Advisors on Feb. 22, at the Palm Beach County Court. They’re mentioned as “John and Jane Doe.”

Court documents state the couple hired the company Ask the Advisors, a prominent South Florida tech company, to install the security cameras in their home in 2016. According to court documents, the home was an 8,500-square-foot home that included the installation of over 35 security cameras.

The court documents say, the two technicians, Michael Reilly, 55, and Jeremy Lewis, 49, left themselves a “backdoor” to access the camera system remotely without knowledge or permission from the owners after the two men installed “a camera system update” in July 2020.

The arrest affidavits for Lewis and Reilly state in July 2020 the homeowner discovered that four Ask the Advisor employees had access to the cameras surveillance system and asked the vice president of the tech company Wayne Weinstock to remove the employees that had access to his camera.

The arrest report states, on July 29, 2020, John Doe logged back into his security camera system and found the two employees had been logging into the system.

After discovering the logins the homeowners reported the men to the police and to the tech company, Ask the Advisors, court documents say.

The tech company’s President Jeffrey Hoover dismissed the claims and refused to fire the employees. The court documents said Weinstock responded claiming, “that Lewis and Reilly were two of their most important employees and that finding replacements for them would be ‘very difficult.'” Weinstock also asked for the couple not to get the police involved.

In August 2020, police spoke with Weinstock and Hoover who said that Reilly did admit to remotely logging into the camera system stating, “he looked at some videos he wished he hadn’t looked at and he regretted doing it.”

The arrest affidavit reports numerous occasions where the video shows Jane Doe undressing in her dressing room exposing her nude body. There was also a video of John Doe in boxers. Court records state on July 26, 2020, Reilly watched over 460 live and archived videos, which included footage of Jane Doe nude/semi-nude and footage showing the couple having sexual relations.

Documents say, the Palm Beach County State Attorney’s Office charged the two men with felony video voyeurism in 2020. It was also found that Lewis is a convicted felon. In 1992, Lewis pled guilty to attempted first-degree murder.

Reilly and Lewis are still employed by Ask the Advisors, court documents say.

However, the company says they were fired in 2021.

On April 4, 2023, Ask the Advisors filed a motion to dismiss the homeowner’s complaint.
