Sam Heughan’s relationship status has been a hot topic among Outlander fans.
And the actor’s current romantic life was a topic of conversation during his recent appearance on The Drew Barrymore Show.
Barrymore broached the topic after asking Heughan about filming steamy scenes on Outlander.
Heughan initially attempted to remain nonchalant and conceal his current relationship situation.
But some gentle probing led him to disclose he’s more receptive to discovering love now than in the past.
Barrymore told Heughan she’d heard rumors about him sidelining his romantic pursuits. But with Outlander’s filming schedule easing up, Heughan admitted that he’s now finding more opportunities for love.
“I never said that I don’t think, Drew Barrymore. But certainly the job is so all-encompassing and we spend so much time on the set and at work so. Yeah, but I’m open to something. I’m not sure what I’m saying I’m open for, but I’m open,” he shared.
To give him credit, Heughan skillfully sidestepped Barrymore’s inquiry about his current relationship status. Though he kept the details under wraps, his answer gave the impression that he might be unattached.
Heughan kept mum about the particulars of his love life.
However, photographers recently caught him enjoying a date with Australian model Monika Clarke.
E! Online published pictures of the Outlander sharing a meal at a café in New York with an unidentified lady. As it turns out, the enigmatic woman in the photos was none other than Clarke.
Some of the captured images gave the impression it was merely a friendly get-together between Heughan and Clarke. But the cameras managed to snag a shot of the two kissing during the meal.
Post-lunch, the twosome took a stroll around the neighborhood before Heughan returned to his hotel.
The duo, once rumored to be a couple, was also spotted enjoying coffee. Their current status is unknown.
Before this, Heughan’s name was connected with actress Mackenzie Mauzy, though their relationship ended in 2018.
