Our 'evil,' 'guilty' animal cousins who ape us



There is a sense of delicious longing that accompanies a second visit to a destination that constitutes a past serendipity. And when it transpires that memory may have preserved an accurate record of the tastes, the local colour, and the hospitable environment, one is tempted to believe that what makes our species unique is the ability to renew old experiences, pursue desire in bespoke moderation, and crave some measure of inner peace.
