Oregon Issues First Psilocybin License to Portland Business – Cannabis Science and Technology

Oregon Psilocybin Services (OPS) issued first psilocybin manufacturer license since accepting applications earlier this year.

On March 22, 2023, Oregon Health Authority (OHA) announced the granting of the first psilocybin license to a woman-owned business–Satori Farms PDX LLC (1). In 2020, Oregon legalized psilocybin for therapeutic purposes and created the nation’s first regulatory framework for psilocybin services (2). The newly created Oregon Psilocybin Services (OPS) began accepting license applications in January and expects to issue more licenses to laboratories, service centers, and facilitators in the coming months (1).

“We congratulate Tori Armbrust of Satori Farms PDX LLC for being issued the first psilocybin license in Oregon’s history and for representing women leading the way for the emerging psilocybin ecosystem,” said OPS Section Manager Angie Allbee in the OHA announcement (1). “We are committed to fostering an inclusive partnership with our regulated community to ensure safe, effective and equitable psilocybin services throughout the state.”
