There have already been a few instances around athletes and their nations arranging for air conditioners to combat the heatwave in Europe, which could hamper the performance of athletes. Moreover, the food at the Olympics Village has been a very important concern at the Paris Olympics, with athletes noshing on the food for almost an entire week, according to a NY Post report.
Simone Biles also skeptical about Olympic Village food
Even Simone Biles, who is a top US gymnast, also spoke about the kind of the French food being provided to athletes at the Olympic Village. Even though she replied in a very diplomatic manner around the food quality, when asked, there is a clear understanding that not everyone is happy with the kind of food being served to the athletes here in Paris.
Even Erik Shoji, an American volleyball player, shared a mixed review around the breakfast he had, which included eggs, rice, sausage, fruit and croissant, which was a pre-event meal. According to him the eggs in this mean was better than average and the rest of the food was satisfactory. Meanwhile, he described that the rice and sausage he had were good enough as a breakfast meal, according to an NY Post report.
