Brandon Bowlin

Brandon Bowlin is Boise State’s new Chief Information Security Officer, the Office of Information Technology announced.

Bowlin is a cybersecurity professional who has made it his mission to protect and defend against the ever-growing threats in the digital realm, safeguarding individuals’ and organizations’ digital well-being.

His cybersecurity career has focused on consulting and security advisory, leading teams to implement technologies, processes, and strategies across multiple industries.

Originally from Tennessee, Bowlin enlisted in the Marine Corps after graduating high school and then attended Vanderbilt University, where he received a bachelor’s degree before returning to the Marine Corps as a Communications Officer.

After completing his military service, Bowlin worked in information technology management before returning to school to obtain a Master of Science in Cybersecurity and Information Assurance from Western Governors University.
