NFO Update: Bandhan Mutual Fund launches two index funds



Bandhan Mutual Fund has announced the launch of Bandhan Nifty 500 Value 50 Index Fund and Bandhan Nifty 500 Momentum 50 Index Fund. These schemes are an open-ended scheme tracking Nifty 500 value 50 Index and Nifty 500 Momentum 50 Index respectively.

The Nifty 500 Value 50 Index focuses on 50 undervalued companies within the Nifty 500 universe, while the Nifty 500 Momentum 50 Index focuses on 50 stocks based on their strong recent performance trend.

The new fund offers or NFOs of both the schemes will open on October 14 and will close on October 24.

Bandhan Nifty 500 Value 50 Index Fund will be benchmarked against Nifty 500 Value 50 Index whereas Bandhan Nifty 500 Momentum 50 Index Fund will be benchmarked against Nifty 500 Momentum 50 Index.

The exit load in Bandhan Nifty 500 Value 50 Index Fund and Bandhan Nifty 500 Momentum 50 Index Fund is 0.25%, if redeemed on or before 15 days from the allotment date.Nil, if redeemed after 15 days from the allotment date.


The minimum amount for lumpsum investment in both the schemes is Rs 1,000 and in multiples of Re 1 thereafter. The minimum amount for SIP investment in both the schemes is Rs 100 and in multiples of Re 1 thereafter with minimum six installments.“Factor Investing has gained considerable traction as it targets specific characteristics that have historically driven risk or returns. The Bandhan Nifty 500 Value 50 Index Fund aims to offer exposure to out-of-favour stocks trading below their intrinsic value and capitalise on their potential recovery. Meanwhile, the Bandhan Nifty 500 Momentum 50 Index Fund focuses on stocks with strong recent performance, with the expectation that the upward trend will persist in the short term,” said Vishal Kapoor, CEO, Bandhan AMC.These indices are rebalanced semi-annually to stay aligned with evolving market dynamics. Investors looking to incorporate the value and momentum strategies into their portfolios can consider these funds, according to a press release by the fund house.
