The value/contra fund category has 26 schemes including four passive schemes. There are three popular benchmarks – NIFTY500 Value 50 – TRI, NIFTY 500 – TRI, and S&P BSE 500 – TRI – that offered 23.16%, 4.25%, and 4.77% respectively in 2022, according to ACE MF data.
ICICI Prudential Value Discovery Fund, another prominent value scheme, offered 14.95% returns. SBI Contra Fund, another big name, offered 12.76%. Canara Robeco Value Fund offered around 12.17% returns.
There were four passive schemes in the value/contra fund category in 2022. Kotak Nifty 50 Value 20 ETF offered 1.19% returns this year, ICICI Prudential Nifty50 Value 20 ETF offered 1.16% returns, Nippon India ETF Nifty 50 Value 20 offered 0.98% returns and Nippon India Nifty 50 Value 20 Index Fund offered 0.31% returns in 2022.
Active value fund/contra fund schemes got inflows worth Rs 6,019.23 crore between January and November 2022. These schemes witnessed an outflow of Rs 4,688.54 crore in 2021. Amfi does not share data for value funds and contra funds schemes separately.
