Netflix and Disney+ rule the living room with their premium streaming service subscriptions but they also rule our wallets thanks to their ever increasing prices, which have crept up steadily over the past year. That’s why it’s worth paying attention to a brand new deal from rival streaming service Paramount+, but you have to act fast if you want to get the best price.
Paramount+ is offering 50% off its annual subscription fee, bringing it down to just £34.95 from the usual £69.90.
That’s an incredible deal that will give you immediate access to 12 months of shows such as Yellowstone, South Park, Frasier, Star Trek and 1923, as well as blockbuster films Transformers Rise of the Beasts, Top Gun Maverick, Dungeons and Dragons and Babylon.
The catch is that this is a limited time offer. You can only get this special price from 13 December until 2 January – perfect to keep you, family and friends entertained over the Christmas holiday period – and for most of 2024.
That is a very competitive price for a year of TV and movie streaming. Netflix doesn’t even offer an annual subscription fee, forcing new subscribers to pay at least £4.99 per month, but that’s with ads – it’s £10.99 for no ads, which comes to £131.88 over 12 months, nearly £100 more than Paramount+.
Disney+ is a little more affordable despite a recent price hike, charging at least £79.90 for a year’s subscription – but that’s still double what Paramount+ is charging right now, while Amazon charges £95 for an annual subscription to Prime, which gets you Amazon Prime Video.
Of course the content libraries of each service are different, but there’s tons of great shows and films on Paramount+, including PAW Patrol, SpongeBob SquarePants, The Loud House and Henry Danger for the kids, and hit films Interstellar, Scream, The Wolf of Wall Street and Chinatown for the grown ups when the little ones are off to bed.
