The advance intimation of exam city slip has been released a week before the exam so that candidates can plan their travel to the examination city.
News agency Press Trust of India, citing NTA officials, had earlier reported that 20.87 lakh candidates have applied for medical entrance exam NEET-UG this year, 2.57 lakh more than last year. This includes nearly 12 lakh female candidates The National Eligibility cum Entrance Test-Undergraduate (NEET-UG) is one of the largest entrance exam in the country, in terms of number of applicants. The maximum registrations are from Maharashtra, followed by Uttar Pradesh.
NEET (UG) 2023 will be conducted by National Testing Agency (NTA) on 7 May 2023 (Sunday) in pen and paper mode in 13 languages across 499 cities. The languages in which the NEET (UG) 2023 would be conducted are: English, Hindi, Assamese, Bengali, Gujarati, Kannada, Malayalam, Marathi, Odia, Punjabi, Tamil, Telugu, and Urdu.
NEET-UG is the qualifying entrance exam for admission to Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS), Bachelor of Dental Surgery (BDS), Bachelor of Ayurveda, Medicine, and Surgery (BAMS), Bachelor of Siddha Medicine and Surgery (BSMS), Bachelor of Unani Medicine and Surgery (BUMS), and Bachelor of Homeopathic Medicine and Surgery (BHMS) and BSc (H) Nursing courses.
MNS (Military Nursing Service) aspirants seeking admission to BSc Nursing Course being conducted at Armed Forces Medical Service Hospitals for the year 2023 are required to qualify NEET. The NEET score will be used for shortlisting for selection to the four-year BSc Nursing course.
