WESTFORD — Six students at Nashoba Valley Technical High School qualified for the SkillsUSA National Leadership & Skills Conference by earning gold medals at the recent State Conference.
The State Conference was held April 25-27 in Marlborough. The National Leadership & Skills Conference is scheduled for June 24-29 in Atlanta, Ga.
Students who earned gold and will be headed to Atlanta in June are:
• Peter Zaferacopoulos (senior, Littleton), Cosmetology.
• Max Cutrona (senior, Townsend), Electrical Construction Wiring.
• Jake Tonaszuck (senior, Chelmsford), Telecommunications Cabling.
• The team of Mariyana Lords (freshman, Westford), Adelina Santos (sophomore, Westford) and Kira Taylor (freshman, Townsend), Non-Traditional Career Portfolio.
Nashoba Tech students earned three silver medals:
• Austin Geoffroy (junior, Pepperell), Residential & Commercial Appliance Repair.
• The team of Eric Caulfield (senior, Acton) and Amanda Pespisa (junior, Westford), 3D Visualization & Animation.
• The team of Susanna Floyd (junior, Westford), Casey Manseau (junior, Pepperell) and Alison McIntire (junior, Pepperell), Chapter Display.
Students who earned bronze medals for Nashoba Tech are:
• Nathan Griffith (junior, Pepperell), Photography.
• The team of Wendy Barrett (senior, Boxborough), Rebekah Rogers (sophomore, Chelmsford) and Ulrika Skoog (sophomore, Chelmsford), Career Pathways Showcase: Arts & Communications.
