NASA will unveil a brand new Webb science image at 6 AM EST (3.30 PM IST) on July 12. The image can be seen on nasa.gov/webb and you can access high-resolution downloads and supplemental content on webbtelescope.org/news.
At 4 PM EST on July 12 (1.30 AM IST on July 13), two Webb telescope experts will feature on a live stream where they will highlight the telescope’s year of achievements through images and the other discoveries it made. They will speak about Webb’s impact on exploring the distant universe and helping scientists understand distant and neighbouring worlds better.
The space agency revealed the first images from the telescope on July 12, 2022. This included high-resolution photos of the Carina nebula, the Southern Ring nebula, Stephen’s Quintet, and a deep-field image of SMACS 0723.
