Myntra says its goal is not only to provide employment, but also to create opportunities for women from economically disadvantaged backgrounds to improve their livelihoods. Myntra is investing in training programs led by both in-house experts and external professional trainers to ensure that these women can make meaningful contributions to their roles.
The initiative will extend to rural areas and villages in states such as Haryana, Telangana, West Bengal, and Karnataka. Additionally, as an effort for gender diversity in its contact center, it is aiming for 45% of total hires in this department to be women during this festive season.
Nupur Nagpal, CHRO of Myntra, said in a statement, “Our preparations for the Big Fashion Festival are in full swing to cater to the high demand from our customers eagerly waiting to shop on Myntra for their festive needs. At Myntra, we are committed to advancing the entire fashion ecosystem, and a key part of this commitment is our dedication to diversity and inclusion. We are particularly excited about onboarding the on-ground staff, where women will play a pivotal role in offering optimal experience to customers and adding to their joy in the festive season.”
According to a statement, the company’s MENSA (Myntra Extended Network for Service Augmentation) kirana network has empowered numerous delivery partners, providing them with financial independence and the confidence to pursue their dreams. The launch of the all-women Dexter team in Ghaziabad, Uttar Pradesh, showcased the strength of diversity and inclusivity.
Myntra also contributes to gender diversity by employing thousands of artisans and delivery partners and offering second career opportunities for women through its Return to Work program, known as Phoenix.
