A DRIVER was left furious after his neighbour stole his parking space just moments after he had shovelled it clear of snow – before exacting an ice cold revenge.
The man said he had spent 45 minutes in the “freezing cold” to clear the path to his wife’s car – only to discover that his neighbour had taken the spot when he returned.
The motorist, who preferred to remain anonymous, took to social media to express his rage.
He admitted his frustration led to petty revenge – and he vowed the fellow motorist wouldn’t make the same mistake again.
Posting on Reddit, he said: “It was a cold winter day. Eight inches of snow had fallen the night before, and the wind chill made it feel as if it were in the negatives.”
No stranger to cold weather, this motorist was prepared.
He went on: “I drive an all-wheel drive SUV so I have no issues getting out. My wife on the other hand drives a Prius, which slides with the smallest amount of moisture on the road.
“My car was down at the time, so we had to take my wife’s car. I spent 45 minutes in the freezing cold shovelling that car out so we could get to the store.
“We were gone for an hour, and when we came back, our neighbour had taken the spot I had shovelled.”
It seems he was less than pleased with this, explaining the unspoken parking agreement residents in his area had – which had clearly been violated.
He revealed: “Our apartment complex doesn’t have assigned parking, but in the winter, it’s understood that if you shovel a spot, it’s yours.”
Fuelled with rage, he decided to take revenge on his neighbour.
The livid motorist admitted: “I went inside and filled two gallon jugs of water. Went back out and poured them on his windshield. Rinse and repeat.
“I must have poured about ten gallons of water on his car. Being how cold it was, it was already freezing by the time I poured the last gallon on. It sat like that overnight.
“The next morning, I got to watch as he helplessly tried to scrape all of these layers of ice off his windshield.”
His final message?
“Don’t take my goddamn parking spot.”
Heated disputes over parking have trended online recently.
One driver left such a menacing note for their neighbour that the cops got involved.
Meanwhile, a major feud has been sparked after an infuriated woman left scathing notes on her neighbour’s car after they parked in front of her house.
Plus, this TikTok user uploaded a video showing multiple threatening notes left on a car for the way it’s parked.
