However, the establishment will open one last time on Saturday, November 11, to allow punters to purchase their furniture.

Anything and everything ranging from giant TV’s, tables and office chairs is now up for grabs.

People can also buy ice machines and chest freezers, amongst other items.

Co-owner Nick Watson and his wife Jenny, who run the taproom and brewery, are hosting the sale to “give patrons a chance to grab a piece of history”.

The brewery’s doors will open at 11.05am, before closing once more at 5pm.

In a previous statement announcing their closure, Malt The Brewery encouraged its customer to help “empty” them of everything.

As reported by Bucks Free Press, they said: “The Directors of Wren Davis Ltd have told us we should vacate the site on Collings Hanger Farm.

“In the current economic environment, a relocation is financially unviable – even if a suitable site could be found.

“Prices of beer online, in the shop and in the Taproom have been significantly discounted and we hope you will help us to ‘drink the brewery dry.

“Come and help us empty the serving tanks, the warehouse and shop.

“You know from experience that our quality and shelf life is excellent, so now is the time to buy your beer in bulk for an amazingly low price.”

Many people have since shared their fond memories of drinking at the brewery on Facebook,

A post from the Limes Tea Room, Cafe & Restaurant read: “We are so sorry to hear this news and we are sorry we couldn’t shift more of your fabulous hops!…we wish you all the best!”

Another person said: “This is a really sad announcement for the community of Prestwood.”

A third added: “Bad news: lovely people, lovely beer. Despite having a local brewery nearby, I often made the 12 mile jaunt to get some.”

Last month, a string of local pubs announced they are set to shut their doors after spiralling costs made business impossible.

West Cornwall Inns will cease operations on Sunday, and has urged those in power to “act now” to prevent further pub closures in the UK.

It came just weeks after another major brewery called its last orders on one of its most famous sites – putting skilled jobs at risk.

Carlsberg Marston’s Brewing Co is closing the world-renowned Wychwood Brewery – famed for Hobgoblin Ale.
