Millions of Britons on Universal Credit to get £600 of the cost of living payment in 2023

“In fact, recognising the pressures of the rising cost of living, we’re increasing our payments to the most vulnerable to £1,350 in 2023-24, having delivered £1,200 to millions of households last year.

“This is on top of a rise in benefits of 10.1 percent next month. We have also provided more than £94 billion over 2022-23 and 2023-24 to help people with higher bills – an average of more than £3,300 per household and as announced in the Spring Budget, the Energy Price Guarantee will be extended for an additional three months.”

Britons may want to check if they are eligible for other forms of cost of living support the Government has unveiled for the coming financial year.

People on disability benefits are to get a £150 payment during summer 2023 and pensioners who receive the Winter Fuel Payment are to get between £150 and £300 on top of the winter payment next winter.
