Microsoft, Google Shed Security Software Infringement Claims – Bloomberg Law


Google LLC and Microsoft Corp. aren’t liable for infringing patents in the same computer security software system, a federal district court said in two separate cases.

The pair of orders were almost identical to each other and mirrored the order issued Aug. 16 by Judge Xavier Rodriguez of the US District Court for the Western District of Texas that found Amazon.com Inc. didn’t infringe the same patents held by CTD Networks LLC.
