Mexico shares lower at close of trade; S&P/BMV IPC down 0.69%



Investing.com – Mexico equities were lower at the close on Monday, as losses in the , and sectors propelled shares lower.

At the close in Mexico, the fell 0.69%.

The biggest gainers of the session on the were Gentera SAB de CV (BMV:), which rose 5.37% or 1.29 points to trade at 25.31 at the close. Grupo Aeroportuario del Pacifico SAB De CV Class B (BMV:) added 2.30% or 7.66 points to end at 341.37 and America Movil SAB de CV M (BMV:) was up 1.73% or 0.27 points to 15.90 in late trade.

Biggest losers included Grupo Televisa SAB Unit (BMV:), which lost 5.84% or 0.55 points to trade at 8.86 in late trade. Qualitas Controladora, SAB De CV (BMV:) declined 2.75% or 4.23 points to end at 149.47 and Corporacion Inmobiliaria Vesta SAB (BMV:) shed 2.64% or 1.39 points to 51.32.

Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 110 to 104 and 9 ended unchanged on the Mexico Stock Exchange.

In commodities trading, Gold Futures for December delivery was down 0.40% or 10.60 to $2,665.70 a troy ounce. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in November fell 4.90% or 3.70 to hit $71.86 a barrel, while the December Brent oil contract rose 0.01% or 0.01 to trade at $75.33 a barrel.

USD/MXN was up 0.08% to 19.38, while EUR/MXN fell 0.05% to 21.13.

The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.30% at 102.98.
