Investing.com – Mexico equities were higher at the close on Wednesday, as gains in the , and sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Mexico, the gained 0.20%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the were Promotora y Operadora de Infraestructura SAB de CV (BMV:), which rose 3.05% or 5.30 points to trade at 178.99 at the close. Industrias Penoles Sab De CV (BMV:) added 2.34% or 6.11 points to end at 267.75 and Grupo Aeroportuario Del Sureste (BMV:) was up 1.97% or 10.38 points to 536.48 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Alsea , S.A.B. De C.V. (BMV:), which lost 2.44% or 1.33 points to trade at 53.20 in late trade. Kimberly – Clark De Mexico A (BMV:) declined 2.28% or 0.72 points to end at 30.79 and Becle SA (BMV:) shed 1.96% or 0.60 points to 30.01.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 159 to 71 and 16 ended unchanged on the Mexico Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Gold Futures for December delivery was down 0.35% or 9.20 to $2,626.20 a troy ounce. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in November fell 0.29% or 0.21 to hit $73.36 a barrel, while the December Brent oil contract rose 0.12% or 0.09 to trade at $76.79 a barrel.
USD/MXN was unchanged 0.02% to 19.49, while EUR/MXN unchanged 0.01% to 21.32.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.36% at 102.68.
