MCDONALD’S has hiked prices on its most popular items by nearly £2 – leaving diners grumbling.
Fan favourite Big Macs costed £3.69 last month but will now set you back £4.59.
McNuggets have also taken a battering, with a 20-pack soaring by 80p from £4.99 to £5.79.
Even Milkshakes are 50p more expensive, with the fast-food giant now asking £1.79 for the drink.
And a Cheeseburger, just 99p this time last year, was £1.19 in June but this month jumped to £1.29.
Filet-O-Fish is up 60p to £4.19 but the Bacon May Chicken burger is down 20p, from £1.79 to £1.59.
The price hikes, first reported by MailOnline, have also hit the McDonald’s Vegan range.
The Vegetable Deluxe was £3.59 in June but is now being flogged for £4.19, while the McPlant has shot up in price from £3.69 to £4.29.
This time last year the company said it was increasing the price of a cheeseburger for the first time in 14 years from 99p to £1.19.
In April, McDonald’s revealed sales in the first quarter of 2023 rose four percent to £4.57billion, compared to the same period in 2022.
It comes as a mum has shared how she made a “McDonald’s fakeaway” for her kids.
She used bargain Aldi items, and claimed it was cheaper than getting it from the fast food chain.
The Sun has approached McDonald’s for comment.
