Maximus Wins Spot on $2.6B IRS Enterprise Development … – GovCon Wire

Maximus (NYSE: MMS) has won a position on a potential seven-year, $2.6 billion blanket purchase agreement to provide services to help the Internal Revenue Service modernize its technology infrastructure.

The company said Wednesday it will compete for task orders under the Enterprise Development, Operations Services BPA and help consolidate over 400 IRS systems to cut maintenance and operations costs.

“The IRS laid out an ambitious plan to transform how the agency provides services and capabilities to improve the taxpayer experience as well as IRS internal operations,” said Teresa Weipert, general manager of Maximus’ federal business and a previous Wash100 awardee.

Weipert added that the company will leverage its team and modernization experience to deliver on the agency’s plan and enhance the experience of taxpayers.

“We are excited to offer our modernization capabilities to the IRS, and continue the support we have provided to the IRS for more than three decades,” said Bruce Caswell, president and CEO of Maximus and a four-time Wash100 Award recipient.
