Matthew Perry’s ex spotted with their dog after paying tribute to the late Friends star

Molly Hurwitz, Matthew Perry’s ex-fiancée, was spotted looking somber for the first time since the announcement that the Friends star had tragically been found dead in his Los Angeles home.

Molly was seen walking with a friend and a dog, which appeared to be the Goldendoodle named Alfred that she and Matthew adopted during their relationship.

She kept a low profile, wearing a navy blue “college” crewneck sweatshirt, a matching baseball hat, which she paired with charcoal gray leggings, white tennis shoes and aviator-style sunglasses while walking around a Los Angeles area park.

Molly was spotted just days after breaking her silence on Matthew’s death with a heartfelt post on Instagram.

“He would love that the world is talking about how talented he was,” she began her post. “And he really was very talented.

“We rewound and studied scenes,” she wrote of his performances. ”Our respect and appreciation of humour is something that connected us. Being with him as he rediscovered his brilliance was magical.”

She also admitted that they had some difficulties during their time together, writing: “But, I obviously knew that man in a very different way, too.

“While I loved him deeper than I could comprehend, he was complicated, and he caused pain like I’d never known,” Molly wrote.

“No one in my adult life has had a more profound impact on me than Matthew Langford Perry. I have tremendous gratitude for that, for everything I learned from our relationship.

“Matty, I feel relief that you are at peace,” she ended her post. “Sincerely, Moll-o-Rama(…fication).”

Molly also referenced Al-Anon, which provides support for friends and families affected by those suffering some substance abuse.

Matthew had been open about his struggles with addiction, especially when it came to his time with Molly.

He even revealed in his book, Friends, Lovers and the Big Terrible Thing, that at the end of 2020, he was in an expensive Swiss rehab facility when he proposed.

“I bought her a ring because I was desperate that she would leave me,” he wrote.

“I didn’t want to be this injured and alone during Covid. I was high on 1,800 milligrams of hydrocodone when I asked her to marry me. I had even asked for her family’s blessing.”

“Then I’d proposed, high as a kite. And on one knee.”

When he returned to Los Angeles, the newly sober Friends star didn’t even remember that he proposed. Needless to say, they broke up.

Matthew’s death is still under investigation by the Los Angeles Medical Examiner.
