Maddie Padelski commits to Alabama soccer, reclassifies – Tennessean


Nolensville soccer star Maddie Padelski committed to Alabama on Wednesday, announcing the news on her Instagram account.

Padelski, a junior, also said she will reclassify into the 2024 class, making her eligible to play for the Crimson Tide next sason.

She is the reigning Tennessean girls player of the year after scoring 29 goals with seven assists as a sophomore. As a freshman, she scored 31 goals and added seven assists. Padelski was recently selected to the U.S. Under-17 Women’s Youth National Team roster after making the Under-16 roster in 2022.

She had eight goals and three assists through five games before Nolensville’s 4-2 win over Page on Tuesday.

Alabama went 23-3-1 last season, going 10-0-0 in Southeastern Conference play before falling in the NCAA National Women’s Cup semifinals. Crimson Tide coach Wes Hart is 85-64-15 in nine seasons in Tuscaloosa.
