Situated between Vern and Rohendel, you will find Hope Island on the West side of the world in Lost Ark. Here, you have a chance to gain one of the many Island Tokens in the game. Luckily, finding this token will also raise your XP quite a lot as there are a few steps you must take first.
However, you, unfortunately, won’t be able to access Hope Island right away. You will have to do a few short quests on Goblin Island in order to even unlock Hope Island and get the token. Once those quests are completed though, you will be one step closer to being one token richer.
Unlocking The Hope Island
You must first go to The Goblin Island and speak with Gobius XXIV to accept a quest. The two quests you must complete to unlock The Hope Island are A King Who Is Not a King as well as A New Sea and A New Land. However, in order to do these quests, you must first unlock Gobius XXIV as an NPC through the Wall of Procyon quest. You must then build rapport with him by playing music, completing small quests, et cetera.
You will need 30 Wisdom and 30 Kindness to do the Wall of Procyon quest.
Wall Of Procyon Quest
To unlock Gobius XXIV, you must complete the quest called Wall of Procyon. In North Vern, you will head to Vern Castle; specifically the Queen’s Castle. You will speak with Ealyn. She will want you to come back with a strong ship after she gives you all the materials she has. Once that is completed, you speak with her and complete the quest.
A King Who Is Not A King Quest
To complete this quest, you must speak with Dadilloo. Once you do, you need to talk with Sezo, Neth, Chole, and Nanette. Following the map, you will start on the far left side next to the red heart. You will head up from there, around the curve then come to that Y. Two of the people you must talk to are on the upper path and two are along the lower path.
If you go along the lower path first, you will follow the path, cross a bridge then find Dadilloo in some long grass after you cross the bridge to the left. Once you speak to Dadilloo, head through the fence to your right. You can choose to fight the mobs you come across or just run past them. However, they may become annoying when you’re speaking. You will need to walk around the other side of the fence, and you will find Nanette next to this small hut.
Head up on the map when you’re done in that area. Follow the path and when you come to a Y you can either go right to speak with Chole or left to speak with Neth and Sezo; who are right next to each other. Going right, you will find Chole near the path next to some long grass. Heading directly left after you speak with him, you will find the last two standing next to a hut.
You must then head back to Gobius XXIV and turn in the quest. When you arrive back to Gobius XXIV, you will notice the goblins you have spoken to are there with some of their families. He will be grateful and give you some rewards for completing this quest.
A New Sea and A New Land
Speaking with Gobius XXIV again, as long as your rapport level is high enough, you will accept the A New Sea and a New Land Quest. In this quest, you will look for a shipowner at the Port Krona in Vern. Gobius XXIV wants to protect and help his people by finding a way for them to escape the island. Once you accept it, pull up the map and find Port Krona, locate the heart on the map as this is where you must travel to.
Speak with Crew on the dock who will tell you to speak with Gainal. Gainal will be located further down on the dock. When Gainal is being hesitant, tell him he better set sail now or else. Gainal should then speak about past feats you have under your belt then agree to transport them.
Head back to Gobius XXIV and tell him the good news. He will let you know that he is not going with his people as there are some Goblins left on the island that want to follow him but haven’t made up their minds yet. You will receive a cut scene with the ship the Goblins will board. After they sail away, and you watch with Gobius XXIV, he says he considers you a loyal friend, and you will complete the quest. Hope Island now should be available to you.
Retrieving The Hope Island Token
When you arrive at The Hope Island, you will be in the upper right-hand corner of the map. Click on the statue that is located next to the bow of the ship. Speak with Dadilloo who is in front of the statue and accept the Building Hope quest which begins a quest chain.
Building Hope Quest
For this, you must talk to Sezo who is straight down on the map at the first Y from where you arrived. After speaking with Sezo, you must speak with Neth just below Sezo. You will complete that and be given a Creation Fragment as well as 10,000 silver, and 250 XP.
Shadows In The Ruins
This quest involves you looking for Goblin warriors around the ruins. This quest claims that ghosts have appeared in the ruins every night on the island and Neth wants to take a look. On the map, you will go to the purple 5 which is located diagonally up from where you are with Neth. Once you get to that area, you must examine Goblin Warrior Koward’s corpse. From here, speak with Fallen Koward twice.
After the second time of speaking with Koward, keep traveling down the path to the end and speak with the Island Ghost then dig at the gravestone behind the ghost. You will then be prompted to find the wandering ghosts that can be shown on the mini-map as glowing purple 5s. Once you get rid of the ghosts and speak with the Island Ghost again, you will need to head back to Warrior Koward to complete the quest.
Head back to Neth to complete the quest. Once Neth gives you your rewards, you will accept yet another quest from him before you can get The Hope Island’s token.
For Everyone’s Sake
Luckily, Warrior Koward will be right across the path from Neth. After you talk with Warrior Koward, go back across the path to speak with Neth again. From here, you will head to the left of the map indicated with the purple 5 marker. Once you defeat the Troll Chief, head back across the map to Neth to turn this quest in and be given your final quest.
In Memorium
Neth will give you the In Memorium quest which requires you to check on Goblin Koru. Neth wants to help the Goblins with building an altar for the ones they’ve lost. The purple 5 marker on the map will be at the bottom middle. Once there, you will speak with Koru, you will need to collect a Troll Tusk and Purple Bora Flower. From Koru, head down the path and defeat the nearby enemy trolls to obtain the tusk.
You will also have to head to the far left of the map to forage the Purple Bora Flower. Once you have the flower, you will need to head back to Neth to speak with him real quick then go to the next purple 5 marker in your map not far from him. A cut scene will be triggered for the memorial the Goblins created. After that, you can complete the quest by clicking it on the right-side menu, and you will finally have the island token.
Instead of walking all the way around the island to get back to Neth, you can play the Song of Escape and head to Neth from the beginning of the map. This may cut down on time.
Rewards
The creators of this MMO have ensured you will never get bored and one of the ways they did that was through incentives. They have spread out all the tokens in the game to make you work for them which makes the rewards for these tokens that much sweeter. Each reward increases in price by increments of 5 up to 95 and there are over 90 tokens in the game in total.
