Nike: Investors will look for signals on the mood of consumers and China’s post-Covid recovery when the sportswear group announces results this afternoon. US GDP: Economists predict the final reading of economic growth for the first quarter to be 1.4 per cent on an annualised basis, up on the second reading of 1.3 per cent, but still lower than the previous two quarters.

Other economic data: Initial claims for state unemployment benefits are likely to rise to 265,000 for the week ended June 24, from 264,000 in the prior week, in a sign the labour market is loosening.

Pending home sales in May are forecast to have decreased 0.5 per cent, after remaining unchanged in April and experiencing a 5.2 per cent decline in March.
