There will be two long bank holidays in March 2024. Banks in many states are closed on March 8, followed by second Saturday and Sundays.Holi falls on Monday after fourth Saturday and Sunday so banks in many states will be closed for three days.

As Ramzan-Id (Id-Ul-Fitr) (1st Shawaal) is observed on April 11 which falls on Thursday, one can apply leave on April 12 (Friday) and enjoy the second Saturday and Sunday.

In June there will be a one long weekend as Bakri ID falls on Monday. However for long weekend one has to apply leave on Saturday as it is the third Saturday of the month.

August 2024
This year August 15 falls on Thursday so their wont be long weekend that week. Banks are closed on Monday August 26 on the occasion of Janmashtami (Shravan Vad-8)/Krishna Jayanthi which is after Fourth Saturday and Sunday.
