LIRR service to Manhattan briefly halted by signal trouble Saturday night – New York Daily News

Train service on the Long Island Rail Road was briefly suspended between Jamaica and Manhattan’s Penn Station and Grand Central Terminal on Saturday night.

The problem was an issue with signals west of Woodside station, the MTA said.

Riders were advised to take the 2, 3, 4, or 5 trains from Atlantic Terminal in Brooklyn or to catch the 7 or E trains for service to Queens. LIRR tickets were honored on the subways during the breakdown, the MTA said.

The MTA issued an alert on the breakdown on X just after 10 p.m. By 10:34 p.m., regular service had resumed.
