Anyone with an LG TV in their living room might want to check out some new content that’s coming to screens for free. The Korean technology giant has just confirmed that it’s releasing a swathe of new shows and blockbuster movies this month and it won’t charge owners a penny for tuning in.
The upgrade can be found via the LG 1 streaming service which is available on most modern TVs running LG’s latest webOS software.
Content available this month includes UK exclusives such as Law & Order Toronto: Criminal Intent which follows an elite detective duo as they unravel high-profile homicide.
A Brief History of the Future is also coming to LG 1 and features six episodes showcasing what lies ahead plus there’s House of Gods which follows the contemporary life of a powerful Iraqi family living in Australia.
That’s not all as LG is promising so scary content just in time for Halloween with thrillers like Cabin in the Woods and The Mist being shown.
If you love movies you can also tune into blockbusters like Ali and The Aviator plus LG 1 will also be hosting a Tarantino Triple Bill, featuring some of his most iconic movies including Jackie Brown, Reservoir Dogs, and Death Proof.
LG says its channels platform is available on 2019 LG Smart TV models TVs onwards running webOS version 4.5 and up
How to activate LG Channels.
• On the remote control, press HOME, navigate to SETTINGS, then select LG CHANNELS.
• If a new version is available, update to the latest version of LG channels.
• By default, LG Channels may not be set ON. Press the toggle switch on the LG Channels menu to activate it.
• Now you can start enjoying free TV channels, while the video is playing, press DOWN button to switch to another TV channel or free channel IP channel.
