Arkansas Tech University students are invited to an informational session about The Washington Center and its internship opportunities on Thursday, Feb. 9.

The session will begin at 4 p.m. at Dr. Robert Charles Brown and Jill Lestage Brown Hall room 148. Interested ATU students from all major fields of study are invited.

Lexi LaRegina, admissions counselor for The Washington Center, will be available to answer questions.

Those attending the Feb. 9 session will also learn about a week-long national security seminar The Washington Center will host in the nation’s capital in May 2023 as well as funding that is available to help at least 10 ATU students attend the seminar. When applicable, academic credit may be available for ATU students who complete experiences through The Washington Center.

According to its website, The Washington Center “provides immersive internships and academic seminars to students from hundreds of colleges and universities and young professionals from across the U.S. and more than twenty-five countries.”

More than 60,000 TWC alumni have earned career opportunities in fields such as law, education, social work, medicine, journalism, diplomacy, business and politics.
