L&T to acquire 21% stake in AI cloud provider E2E Networks


Engineering conglomerate Larsen & Toubro (L&T) Tuesday said it will acquire a 21% stake in E2E Networks, an Indian artificial intelligence (AI) cloud provider, in an all-cash transaction worth Rs 1,327 crore.

The company also said it has entered into a strategic partnership with E2E.

In a two-part deal, L&T proposes to acquire a total of 4.17 million equity shares of E2E Networks, representing a 21% stake.

“Collaborating with E2E Networks allows us to offer our clients seamless, scalable and secure cloud experiences,” said Seema Ambastha, chief executive of L&T data centre and cloud business.

In a disclosure to the BSE, L&T said E2E specialises in providing CPU- and GPU-based cloud computing platforms, enabling customers to conduct large-scale general and AI workloads through its relationship with Nvidia.


L&T also said that post acquisition, it will have the right to nominate up to two directors on the board of E2E.

“The strategic collaboration between E2E Networks and L&T marks a significant milestone for the future of adoption of domestically built hyperscaler cloud platforms in India,” said Tarun Dua, chairman and managing director of E2E Networks.Under this alliance, L&T will integrate E2E’s cloud and AI cloud platform with its expertise in data centre management and cloud solutions towards empowering startups and enterprises.

E2E’s advanced cloud computing solutions include the AI/ML platform TIR and cloud GPUs such as Nvidia A100, H100 and H200.
