What is Ladli Behna Yojana?
Madhya Pradesh’s past Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan launched the ‘Mukhyamantri Ladli Behna Yojana’ on 28 January 2023. Under this scheme, eligible sisters (women) will get Rs 1250 every month. It aims to promote women’s health, nutrition and economic self-reliance.
“Economic self-reliance of women, continuous improvement in their health and nutrition level and strengthening their role in family decisions,” said the Madhya Pradesh Government in the cmladlibahna.mp.gov.in website.
Who is eligible for Ladli Behna Yojana?
According to Ladli Behna Yojana’s official website, “All married women (including widows, divorced and deserted women) who are local residents of Madhya Pradesh and born after 01 January 1961 but till 01 January 2000 and do not fall in the category of ineligibility mentioned in the scheme will be eligible to apply in the year 2023.”
What documents are required for Ladli Behna Yojana?
According to Ladli Behna Yojana’s official website, “The applicant must have a family Samagra ID, individual Samagra ID, Aadhaar card, own Aadhaar linked DBT enabled bank account and mobile number (on which OTP will be sent at the time of online submission of application). Family means husband, wife and their dependent children who are included in the Family Samagra ID.”
Who is not eligible for Ladli Behna Yoyana?
According to Ladli Behna Yojana’s official website, “Women whose family’s combined annual income is more than Rs 2.5 lakh will be ineligible under the scheme. If any member of the applicant’s family is an income tax payer, then she will be ineligible under the scheme. The scheme is only for married/divorced/widow/abandoned women. If any member of the applicant’s family is employed as a regular/permanent employee/contractual employee in the Government Department/Undertaking/Board/Local Body of the Government of India or State Government or is receiving pension after retirement, then she will be ineligible, but honorary workers and employees employed through outsourcing agency will not be ineligible.”
Will beneficiaries of other schemes also be eligible for Ladli Behna Yoyana?
According to Ladli Behna Yojana’s official website, “Yes if the applicant is also a beneficiary in any other scheme and is receiving less than Rs 1250 per month from that scheme. The remaining balance of Rs 1250 will be paid to the applicant (Only for pensioners of the social justice department). Example: if the applicant is a pensioner of the social justice department and the applicant is receiving an amount of Rs 600 monthly, then the remaining amount of Rs 650 will be added and given to you.
