Karma & destiny

Question: What is the difference between karma and destiny?

What you are doing today is added to your karma bank and it becomes your future destiny. The fruits of the previous karma that you are getting today are your present destiny. So, in a way you are creating your own destiny. Whatever actions you performed in the past, you are experiencing their results now. And the pending karma which you have not experienced yet, is called destiny. Can we change our destiny? Can you change the way you do your karma? Absolutely, you can.

If you change the input, the output will be changed. Whether my destiny is good or bad is very circumstantial. Let us look at a hypothetical situation. A man has reached the airport and the airline staff informs him that he can’t board the flight because he is late. So, he starts fighting with them even after the flight has departed. He comes back home angry. As he sits down to watch the news, he finds out that the flight he was supposed to be on, has crashed. Now he thanks his luck. …That’s how much our mind fluctuates….

What is karma? It is a force. Any action done by your body, speech, or mind is called karma. And every action will have an equal reaction, right? This is the law of physics and it is also the law of karma. Karma means that whatever you do, you will have to take the responsibility for it. How will you respond and what will be your ability? That makes ‘responsibility’.
