JNUC 2023: Jamf Security and Configuration Features Take Center … – BizTech Magazine

Security and Integration Streamline Operations for Apple Admins

At this year’s conference, sessions on security, including identity and access management and authentication, will take center stage.

“I think security is going to be a very hot topic,” Kasparian says. “We’ll see more things around mobile threat defense and integration with Jamf Protect and Jamf Pro and how we integrate those to remediate alerts on devices effectively and efficiently.”

Jamf experts will present with industry partners such as Google and Okta to discuss the latest updates to Jamf Connect’s authentication and identity management features. Nick McGillivray, senior sales engineer for Jamf, and Sean Rabbitt, senior consulting engineer for Jamf, will outline how business users can get secure zero-trust network access to their apps right out of the box.

The keynote session “The Power of AND” will feature IT leaders from the education sector and Fortune 500 companies discussing the future of managing and securing Apple products for businesses.

What to Know Before You Go to JNUC 2023

Kasparian offers advice for JNUC attendees, whether it’s your first conference or you’ve attended in the past: Before heading to Austin or logging on to the virtual event, attendees should review their organizations’ priorities and select sessions to attend based on their needs.

Technology changes so quickly and rapidly, so stick with what your priority is today and go to those sessions,” he says.

After the conference, attendees should meet with their teams to share what they’ve learned and identify opportunities for change.

“Get your team together and debrief on what you learned and quickly get that information out,” Kasparian says. “Then, they can take proper steps to go out to maybe purchase something or look at it and get that ball rolling to get started doing whatever you need to do.”

For those attending in person, don’t forget to visit the exhibit hall, where Jamf representatives and partners will showcase their expertise and answer attendee questions.

“Hit the booths,” he says. “Think about your priorities and talk with those people in the exhibit hall, whether you’re in IT or on the business side of things. You might get information that answers your questions or solves a problem to help you make the right move going forward.”
