Before May 20 show in South Carolina, Jimmy Buffett provided a quick health update via Jimmy Buffett and the Coral Reefers Facebook handle where he wrote, “Thank you for the outpouring of support and well wishes.”
“I head home tomorrow for a while, and then will go for a fishing trip with old friends, along with paddling and sailing and get myself back in good shape.”

He added, “Once I am in shape, we will look at the when’s and where’s of shows. I think playing is as therapeutic for me as it is for fans to listen and sing along.” With great enthusiasm, the note concluded with, “Looking forward to announcing a new date for Charleston as well as some new shows! Fins up!”
After making a stop in Boston for a routine medical check-up, Buffett was hospitalized last week. However, it was later revealed on his website and social media that he needed to deal with some urgent matters that required immediate attention. As a result, the scheduled concert with Jimmy Buffett and the Coral Reefers in Charleston on May 20 had to be postponed.
Once a new date is announced, the tickets purchased for the original show will still be valid. As of now, no additional tour dates are listed on Buffett’s website.FAQs
