The lead drummer’s mother Carol Namatame announced the death on Facebook saying he passed away calmly in his sleep. She wrote that Jeremiah, drummer and founding member of the Issaquah-based band Modest Mouse, died on December 31 after a valiant fight with cancer.
Green’s close family member informed them that he was diagnosed with cancer. He also cancelled his last tour because he was undergoing chemotherapy.
Green’s band members also paid a modest tribute on Instagram saying they do not know what to write about the death of their friend Green. He added that it is not the proper time to say more.
Green along with lead guitarist Isaac Brock and bassist Eric Judy founded Modest Mouse band. Their debut album ‘This Is a Long Drive for Someone With Nothing to Think About’ was out in 1996. This song went on for years. The band made their breakthrough in 2004 with the release of the album ‘Good News for People Who Love Bad News’. This song did very well on the charts. And going ahead, the journey of Modest Mouse was unstoppable.
