A NURSE who won the lottery for a 57th time has revealed the special words another customer said to her when she bought the ticket.
Crystal Holbrook-Gazoni had a touch of luck when she had purchased the winning ticket of £63,000.
She purchased the ticket at a Kroger store in Henrico, Virginia.
And Crystal said a woman at the same supermarket counter rested a hand on her shoulder and said: “Honey, I hope you win big.”
The children’s nurse was then stunned when she arrived home with her ticket and realised she had bagged $75,000 (£63,000).
But Crystal is no stranger to winning streaks.
From 2015 to 2021, she bought 56 lottery tickets and won nearly £63,000 in overall winnings during the six-year period.
Yet she never won a prize large enough for the big cheque.
But in 2021, lottery officials decided to give her a souvenir cheque for her total winnings.
At the time, she told lottery officials: “I keep the cheque in my house where I see it every day.
“I’m going to win the big one someday!”
And two years later, she finally won the big prize – and got a real cheque.
According to local reports, Crystal plans to use her latest win to pay off her bills and save for her children’s education.
She won the cash on Virginia Lottery’s Print ‘n Play Ultimate 7s Bingo game.
Lottery officials said all the profits from the game go to education in the state.
“Ms. Holbrook-Gazoni lives in Henrico County, which received more than $33.6 million (£28.3million) in lottery funds for K-12 education last fiscal year,” they said.
“In 2022, the lottery raised more than $779 million (£656 million) for K-12 education, making up approximately 10 per cent of Virginia’s total K-12 school budget.”
It comes after another couple were left stunned on the school run after finding out they had become multi-millionaires – but they still went to work.
And a Boeing worker hit the jackpot after buying a lucky ticket inspired by a “sign” from her job.
Meanwhile, a man told of his horror after missing out on a £3million jackpot because he lost his winning lottery ticket.
