Israel shares lower at close of trade; TA 35 down 1.56%


Investing.com – Israel equities were lower at the close on Sunday, as losses in the , and sectors propelled shares lower.

At the close in Tel Aviv, the declined 1.56%.

The biggest gainers of the session on the were OPC Energy Ltd (TASE:), which rose 1.29% or 35.00 points to trade at 2,752.00 at the close. Strauss Group (TASE:) added 0.58% or 33.00 points to end at 5,692.00 and Bezeq Israeli Telecommunication Corp Ltd (TASE:) was up 0.05% or 0.20 points to 432.90 in late trade.

Biggest losers included Camtek Ltd (TASE:), which lost 6.19% or 1,910.00 points to trade at 28,960.00 in late trade. Shikun & Binui (TASE:) declined 4.95% or 45.50 points to end at 873.60 and Nova (TASE:) shed 3.78% or 2,860.00 points to 72,750.00.

Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 310 to 120 and 109 ended unchanged on the Tel Aviv Stock Exchange.

In commodities trading, Crude oil for October delivery was down 1.43% or 0.99 to $68.16 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in November fell 2.24% or 1.63 to hit $71.06 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract fell 0.64% or 16.30 to trade at $2,526.80 a troy ounce.

USD/ILS was up 0.54% to 3.73, while EUR/ILS rose 0.49% to 4.13.

The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.07% at 101.14.
