Israel pulls troops from Netzarim, opens route for North Gaza


Israeli forces have withdrawn from the Netzarim corridor, a key strip of land dividing northern and southern Gaza, as part of a ceasefire deal with Hamas. This move allows Palestinians to return to the war-torn north without Israeli inspections. The 42-day truce, now past its halfway mark, is set to enter a critical phase with negotiations on extending the ceasefire in exchange for further hostage releases. However, little progress has been reported on the second phase, which hinges on a full Israeli withdrawal and a sustainable calm.
