A SHOP you’ve never heard of is “just as cheap as Wilko” – and it’s only getting bigger.
Ilkeston Discount Chain Store near Nottingham launched just six months ago.

Now the bargain shop is set to take over a vacant lot next door – where it will stock up to 1,800 more products.
Owner Andy Hampton told the Nottingham Post: “It’s a bit of an open market for us at the moment.
“Because we’re as cheap as Wilko, we can still fill our shelves and give people in Ilkeston what they want.”
The shop sells “liquidation stock” which has been taken off the shelves of high-street chains.
When it first opened, Andy only had space for women and children’s clothes.
But he now plans to stock between 1,500 and 1,800 menswear items in the new lot next door – as well as hardware and pet supplies.
He said: “Six months in, we cannot add anything to this current store, it’s full.
“But the floor space at the new shop is three times bigger.”
Andy plans to open the new extension on September 2 – and says he is only getting started.
