In a video posted to TikTok, he mixed a can of beer with a packet of baking soda in a bucket.

A 200g pot of baking soda costs just 65p from Aldi, with the cheapest of beer cans sufficient for Kevin’s trick.

He then soaked a flannel in the the mixture before wiping the oil stains on his car with it – instantly getting rid of them.

The expert also recommended dipping a dishcloth in a blend of water and fabric softener to wipe dust from your dashboard.

One of Kevin’s more bizarre tips is to squeeze toothpaste on a wet towel then drag it across your car’s paintwork.

He said that the toothpaste will make the paint “as bright as a light bulb”.

When it comes to polishing your car’s chrome surfaces, Kevin recommends a mix of white vinegar and dish soap.

Not everyone was convinced by Kevin’s eccentric cleaning tricks.

Theo said: “Toothpaste on paint. Yeah, no.”

Flo said: “Dish soap is not good for a car.”

Another driver said: “Yikes.”

It comes after a motoring expert revealed how you can make your car’s air conditioning colder and more fuel-efficient in seconds.
