I won UK’s biggest postcode lottery prize… I’ve got £1.3m but I’m going to move into a caravan

A LUCKY Brit has scooped up a record £1.2million after winning the People’s Postcode Lottery’s biggest-ever prize.

Kevin Jones, 58, of Llandrindod Wells, has revealed he doesn’t have any grand plans for his newfound wealth.

Instead, he plans to move into a Sunny Haven Park caravan.

Unemployed Kevin, who suffers from emphysema and sleep apnoea, said: “I’ve been dreaming about the chalets for a long time.

“Every time I pass the place, I imagine living there. It’s nice and quiet and I’m sure the people would be really friendly.

“I’ve always loved my garden and, since I’ve been here, I’ve not had one. That would give me one again. Now my dream can come true.”

BENTLEY BUY

That’s not the only purchase Kevin is hoping to make, with the millionaire Brit setting his sights on a trip to the British Grand Prix at Silverstone to celebrate his 59th birthday.

“I’d rather go to a Grand Prix at Silverstone rather than anywhere else,” the F1 fan said.

Kevin also plans on purchasing a new motor but admits he will be modest with his selection.

I won thousands on People’s Postcode Lottery… now a decade-long feud with my husband will finally be resolved

“I like the Audi A5 S,” he said.

“I was looking at one on eBay costing £5,000 to £6,000. I’m not big on the new ones.

“They kind of changed the shape a wee bit. I might get a newish one now, though.”

Kevin is an avid Liverpool FC supporter and now can’t wait for his first trip to Anfield.

The Liverpool fan has vowed to use his winnings to take care of his mother Theresa, 76, and his younger brother Alun, 57.

Kevin is also the dad to two sons, aged 26 and 24, and has a 30-year-old daughter who is pregnant with his fourth grandchild.

He said: “I’ll get advice and put some money into trust for them.

“I also want to help my brother with some home improvements.

“My brother has always been there for me. He’s a rock to me.”

Kevin claims his stepdad, John Davies, 79, called him the night before already knowing he was going to win big, despite Kev telling him the maximum prize he could win was £2,000.

“My dad said to me yesterday, ‘Get a Bentley and show them,'” Kevin explained.

He added: “I said ‘I’m only going to get a grand, dad, or a couple of grand at the most’. But he said, ‘now, it’s your turn now’.”

Kevin claims his dad is always right most of the time and says now he might just “rent a Bentley and take him out for the day”.

It comes after a mum who won thousands on the People’s Postcode Lottery says she can now resolve a decade-long feud with her husband.

And this couple who won £100,000 claim they were days away from a terrible decision that would have left them with nothing.
