A LUCKY player who bagged herself £200,000 kept it SECRET from her husband for a special reason.
Maria, from Llandeloy, Wales, scooped the life-changing jackpot in the Postcode Lottery Millionaire Street draw.
The unsuspecting mum-of-four was overwhelmed when she discovered the eye-watering win.
“I feel sick. This is no chicken feed, is it? Never in my life would I have expected something like this,” she told the Postcode Lottery.
But, Maria wanted to keep news of the huge windfall hidden from hubbie Chris.
The college safeguard and disciplinary officer thought it would be better to wait until he got home from work- and planned a sweet surprise reveal.
She said: “I haven’t told my husband yet. I’ll wait until he gets home.
“I might give him the golden envelope with a coffee.
“But I’ll make sure he’s sitting down. There will probably be a few expletives.
“He’s always joking about winning the lottery. But I’ve told him, ‘You have to buy a ticket first, love.'”
The grandmum-of-seven has thoughts on how she wishes to splash the cash.
Luxurious holidays across the globe could be on the cards for the family, as well as some renovations at home.
Maria added: “We’re doing up the whole house, with an extension and kitchen and we need a new roof.
“I’d also love to go to South Africa, Indonesia, Italy and Sicily.”
And, three other neighbours on the street also bagged prizes in the draw with the SA62 6LJ postcode.
A dad-of-two and his wife scooped £400,000 after doubling his tickets.
Meanwhile an ex-Royal Logistics Corps Sergeant also scooped £200,000.
This comes as another lucky punter scooped double the prize money in a Postcode Lottery jackpot by using one simple tactic.
Darren, from Plymouth, bagged himself the extra winnings in the Millionaire Street draw, which saw a whopping £1million shared between eight other locals.
Plus, one woman may not have hit her share of the jackpot if it wasn’t for a lucky coincidence.
Tracy Arnott, a former leading hand in the Royal Navy, revealed she only bagged her prize because of a delayed house move.
Meanwhile, another fortunate resident scooped an entire £388k Postcode Lottery prize due to a quirk.
The winner from Runcorn in Cheshire, was only the person playing in the WA7 2YN post code, meaning they kept the jackpot for themselves.
